Questions About a Bill?
Medlink handles billing for medical practices. If you received a statement from a practice we work with, here's what it means and how to reach us.
Please don't send medical or account details through this website.
This website isn't the place for medical information, insurance member IDs or account numbers. Call us instead and we'll help you over the phone.
What is a statement?
After your insurance pays its part of a visit, the practice sends you a statement for the balance that's left. A statement usually shows the visit, what was charged, what your insurance paid or adjusted, and what you owe.
Why didn't insurance cover everything?
Most plans share the cost of care with you. The part left for you is usually one of these:
Deductible: the amount you pay for covered care each plan year before your insurance starts to pay its share.
Co-pay: a set amount your plan asks you to pay for a visit or service, often collected when you check in.
Coinsurance: your share of the cost after your deductible is met, as a percentage.
If something on your statement doesn't look right, call us. We'll go through it with you.
